City PMI Prepared to Assist Flood Victims

Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) based in Jakarta also distributed some aid for flood victims in South Jakarta.

We have distributed milk, toddler food, and 1,000 lunch packs

Jakarta PMI's Disaster Handling Division Deputy Head, Gurhadi Kartasasmita said, PMI personnel were deployed to help flood victim evacuation process to the shelter or health service facility. His side prepared rubber boat and one ambulance.

"We have distributed milk, toddler food, and 1,000 lunch packs," he added, Tuesday (2/6).

Aid Keeps Distributing to Flood Victims in Cawang

Based on assessment result of Community-Based Disaster Preparedness Team (Sibat), he continued, in Pengadegan Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-district, South Jakarta, there were around 500 people evacuated in their local urban village offices.

"712 people are evacuated in sub-district office, 515 people in elementary school, and 210 people in madrasah at RW 01 and RW 02," he informed.
